House Passes Donald Trump’s”One Big, Beautiful Bill”

After allowing time for the usual Republican grandstanding by Thomas Massie and the Freedom Caucus, House Republicans predictably passed the “one big, beautiful bill.” The Senate also unanimously passed the No Tax on Tips Act which is included in the House bill.

Note: I predicted that budget reconciliation would be used to do a border security/tax cuts package which would make good on Trump’s original promise to “Build the Wall.” I also said that there wouldn’t be a “war with Iran,” that activists would continue making fools of themselves, that Trump 2.0 would start off with a blizzard of executive orders and Trump’s Cabinet picks would be confirmed.

  1. Nothing for the working-class and middle-class schmucks but the mopes in the suburbs of TX, IL, NY, CA, and NJ can write off up to $40K in property taxes on their McMansions on their Fed tax returns now instead of the previous $10K maximum. Oh yeah – people can write off the interest on their $1000/mo car loans and an increase in leases for drilling, mining and logging on public lands.

    • @Oskar Dirlewanger,

I would add that Trump’s Department of Interior wants to rewrite the Endangered Species Act to removed habitat destruction as a violation of the Act by drilling, mining, and clear-cutting forests.

Dante’s “Inferno” needed a special place in hell for these money grubbing POS.

    • Well, government itself interfering in the market has caused car prices to skyrocket. Obama and Biden’s little girls passed gas mileage standards basically mandating “perpetual motion machines” oblivious to any reality, if not intended to kill the car industry. The reason we don’t have subcompacts anymore is if they don’t average 67 mpg the carmakers have to pay huge fines. I had a small motor scooter in college that averaged 55mpg. They basically want the impossible, so as a result small efficient cars like the 47mpg average Honda Fit are no longer on the market and customers are driving giant SUVs due to light truck loopholes. So these gov’t idiots accomplished the exact opposite of what they intended, moving away from small and midsized efficient automobiles to giant trucks being driven by Bluto wannabees. Also forcing the automakers to put tiny turbo engines that don’t last instead of long standing, 300,000 mile + reliable engines that Honda and Toyota mastered. So what does melting down and replacing cars that last half as long now do to overall emissions? These little girls and soy boys seeking to ease their anxious consciences with “green papal indulgences” never thought about that? How about we kill these autistic green fetish “CAFE” standards and let automakers make reliable, affordable cars people want to buy?

  2. You did call Tom Massie a “Lolbertarian” before, which is not correct. He is solid on secure borders, nationalism, and has been an early and strong supporter of tariffs.

So you lied about Tom Massie once, and now you have done it again. Objecting to a bill that would add $20 trillion to the debt over 10 years is not “grandstanding.”

Massie is the only conservative left in the House. All of the others have followed Trump into the left wing fever swamps. Conservatives always cared about the debt most of all. As Massie pointed out, we are already paying the bankers $500 billion a year in interest. This bill would drive it up over $5 trillion per year within 10 years. $5 trillion in interest alone.

This monstrosity will probably die in the Senate. Ron Johnson said they have the votes to stop it. But if it does pass the Senate, it will be without all those items on bordee security that you imagine Trump
    actually wants.

It is no fun watching the country you live in going through death pains, even though you know it has to hapoen, and it is God’s will that it must die. But at least stop lying about people, especially what is actually the only decent American left in The House of Representatives.

  3. Trump is running a big risk of a debt crisis.
Bonds are starting to jitter, first signs of a Crack in debt ?
40 trillion of federal debt is dangerous.

    • I think that high incomes should have reverted to the previous tax rates because it looks unfair asking ordinary mopes working for the gov’t to lose their jobs but not asking the rich to make any sacrifices as well.

  4. I think Trump is applying the right solutions at the wrong time. These policies should have been implemented decades ago, not now.

  5. Any funding for the MIC?
A new golden age has begun for fourth world turd Amerikwa the Kwanstain.
Patriotism is the last refuge for a scoundrel.
    Honk honk.

    • 150 billion added to the military budget. Americans aren’t allowed to have high speed rail, new roads and bridges, or reasonable medical bills. Idiot Amerikans believe they are free. Really they are just overtaxed peons fueling the Imperial machine.

  6. In many ways Trump has been far worse than “activists” warned:

Shaking hands with and praising Al-Qaeda leader Jolani. No one expected such an abject humiliation.

Lending his name to Israel’s plan to ethnically cleanse Gaza – “The Trump Plan”. Sharing an AI video of transvestites dancing in front of a golden statue of Donald Trump after the genocide is complete? Far more outrageous than any “activist” could have imagined.

Undermining the first amendment – “Project Esther” will be used, first and foremost, to target David Duke and Kevin MacDonald.

There is still a very real danger of war with Iran. Israel could bomb Iran and present us with a fait accompli, and Trump’s insistence on “no enrichment” virtually guarantees negotiations will fail.

Trump could still turn things around and have a successful presidency – if, and only if, he frees himself from the control of the Israel Lobby.

  7. Another MAGA unforced disaster.

Goodbye House of Representative control the last two years of that clown’s administration. I am sure MAGAtards will scream, “What can we do? We do not control Congress.”

Not one cut to the DOD budget. DOGE was worthless. Just another ‘feel good’ optics story for conservatards.
